PROGRAM FACILITATOR:
Paula Staton is a Certified Personal Finance Counselor and a Licensed Real Estate Agent who earned a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and a MBA in Finance from Hofstra University. Over the past 25 years, Ms. Staton has worked as a licensed financial advisor and has held management positions in oil & gas, investment banking, city government and the nonprofit sector.

According to recent Bureau of Labor statistics, Philadelphia's unemployment rate is 6.7% (one of the highest in the nation for a major metropolitan area) and 28% of city residents live below the poverty line. Across the bridge in Camden, NJ, 40% of residents live in poverty in a city that boasts one of the highest crime rates in the country.
